Dr. Josie Ziegler’s number one rule of thumb in the exam room is to get on the same level as her patients, no matter their age. For her pediatric patients, that means pulling up a seat next to them and engaging them directly. After all, Dr. Ziegler wants children with myopia to be part of their healthcare.
“It’s their body, it’s their eyes. They need to understand what’s going on. I want them to be a partner in this,” Dr. Ziegler explains.
