This summer, CooperVision has teamed up with The Strong National Museum of Play to provide free pediatric vision screenings and increase awareness about myopia and the importance of eye health through fun, interactive programs for children and their families in the Rochester, NY, community.
In partnership with the Flaum Eye Institute at the University of Rochester, children and youth visiting the museum on July 23rd and August 20th, 2026 from 12-2 p.m. can receive complimentary vision screenings in the Adams Atrium.
In addition to the free pediatric vision screenings, CooperVision is the presenting sponsor of the museum’s upcoming July 6th, 2026 Summer of Exploration program and summer-long exhibit, The Great Wonder Seekers Adventure. The latter will feature bite-sized, family-friendly content about the importance of children’s eye health.
The Great Wonder Seekers Adventure will take children and their families on an immersive educational experience including myopia simulation boards that mirror the challenges of myopia and the benefits of clear vision. The exhibit will also include activity maps with hidden word pictures that children can discover throughout the museum during their tour.
