The Myopia Collective Expands with 35 New Change Agents

The movement is growing. Meet the newest Myopia Change Agents and Student Change Agents

Now entering its third year strong, The Myopia Collective continues to grow with the recent announcement of 35 new ambassadors, including 22 OD Change Agents and its inaugural class of rising star Student Change Agents, representing a nearly 50% increase in membership.

In addition to the Student Change Agents, The Myopia Collective’s latest phase will feature another new facet: a Day of Advocacy. Scheduled for June 18, 2026, the Day of Advocacy will encourage individuals to share personal stories, clinical insights and educational perspectives on their social media channels using the hashtag #MyopiaAdvocacy2026. The Day of Advocacy is designed to drive awareness of childhood myopia and the importance of early intervention by creating a unified, worldwide conversation focused on protecting children’s long-term vision and eye health.

As part of their ongoing training, the new class of Change Agents will participate in a Houston, TX-based collaborative workshop in November.

The Myopia Collective is a partnership between CooperVision and the American Optometric Association to elevate the standard of care for children with myopia. Since its launch in 2024, The Myopia Collective has grown to more than 3,500 members and built a network of over 70 trained Change Agents and counting. Through workshops and ongoing collaboration, these leaders are helping expand awareness of evidence-based myopia management across every U.S. state and Washington, D.C.
