Program Description
Get certified to manage myopia with MiSight® 1 day and Paragon CRT®
To communicate effectively to parents and their children with myopia, it is essential to understand the gravity of myopia and its progression. These certification programs are designed to help move the conversation beyond vision correction, so that slowing the progression of myopia for each and every child becomes part of a new standard of care.
Benefits of the Program
- Get certified to prescribe myopia management treatments like MiSight® 1 day and Paragon CRT® before graduation.
- Gain access to the Online Success Center (OSC) and the Specialty Lens Success Center (SLSC), CooperVision’s on-demand information and learning platform.
How the Program Works
Optometry students must register on CooperVision’s Online Success Center to gain access to both MiSight® 1 day and Paragon CRT® certification courses.
Online Success Center
Under course categories, click on Myopia to view courses:
MiSight® 1 day QuickStart
Get started easily with the MiSight® 15-Minute QuickStart Video, which includes all necessary pertinent clinical information about myopia and MiSight® to start treating patients, in a timeframe shorter than a short lunch break.
- There is not a certification requirement to fit MiSight contact lenses.
Paragon CRT
When worn overnight, Paragon CRT® contact lenses gently correct the curvature of the cornea, resulting in a corneal shape that focuses light correctly onto the retina. When removed in the morning, distant objects will come back into focus and patients can see clearly without the use of glasses or daytime contacts.
** Please note** Completing the certification will generate a digital PDF; however, student certifications do not transfer to a prescribing Paragon CRT certification number. Paragon CRT certifications must be associated with an active license number. Once licensed, the certification course can be repeated to obtain an official certification number.
