CooperVision Announces the Next ECP Viewpoints Summit!

CooperVision will host the second ECP Viewpoints Virtual Summit on November 14 from 1:00-4:00pm EST.  This unique event will bring together top industry leaders to discuss myopia control, the new MyDay® multifocal contact lens, and new research on the effectiveness of Biofinity Energys®. As before, the theme of the event is "Big Impact" and will bring together thought leaders to present and discuss the aforementioned topics with attendees and provide tips on how to maximize contact lens care for the biggest impact in their own practices. The Summit will include three sessions.  Each is intended to give attendees an overview of the background and science around the topic as well as practical application of that science in daily practice. Hundreds of Eye Care Professionals and optometry students turned out for the first Summit, which took place in July.

The sessions will begin at the top of evey hour from 1pm until 4pm. Here's the complete line-up (in Eastern Time):

  • 12:30pm: Early log in, familiarization with the event platform
  • 1:00pm: Biofinity Energys®: New Research and Clinical Implications - Giancarlo Montani, DipOptom, FBCLA and Karen Walsh, BSc(Hons), PGDip, MCOptom, FIACLE
  • 2:00pm: Myopia Management: Letting the MiSight® Science Speak for Itself - Anita Gulmiri, OD, FAAO and Justin Kwan, OD, FAAO
  • 3:00pm: Presbyopia and MyDay® multifocal: Insights, Innovation and Performance - Michele Andrews, OD,  Aldo Zucaro, PhD, Percy Lazon de La Jara, PhD, and Bryan Heitmeyer, OD

More about our sessions:

Biofinity Energys®: New Research and Clinical Implications

New independent research was presented earlier this year at BCLA on the effect of Biofinity Energys®.  Giancarlo Montani, the original author of that research, will be presenting it to a U.S. audience for the first time.  Joining him is Karen Walsh, sharing insights on the generation of "digital natives" in our chairs - and the positive impact that Biofinity Energys® can have on their digital lifestyles.

Myopia Managment: Letting the MiSight® Science Speak for Itself

Justin Kwan and Anita Gulmiri will discuss the science behind MiSight® 1 day - and how that science speaks for itself when it comes to choosing a myopia management option for your patients.

Presbyopia and MyDay® Multifocal: Insights, Innovation and Performance

Michele Andrews will host a discussion with Aldo Zucaro, Percy Lazon and Bryan Heitmeyer.  Aldo Zucaro will share unique insights on presbyopia gathered in new ethnography research on patient perspectives around living with presbyopia. Percy Lazon will discuss the design of MyDay® multifocal and Bryan Heitmeyer will share his experience fitting the lens as a part of an in-market assessment done earlier this year.

There will be a 15-minute break at the end of each session, providing attendees the time to browse related resources, meet up in the networking lounge, or simply reset for the next session.

Pre-registration is required and all those who pre-register will have the opportunity to log in and listen/ask questions live on the day of the event or, if unable to attend, to view the content on-demand afterwards.  Only those who register in advance will have on-demand post-event access.  Click the button below to visit the registration page, learn about the speakers and sign up for the summit!
