Big Names. Big Ideas. Big Impact.

 

CooperVision will host the first ECP Viewpoints Virtual Summit on July 25, 2021 from 12:30-5:00pm EST.  This unique event will bring together top industry leaders to discuss myopia control, multifocal contact lenses, toric lens technology and sustainability. The theme of the event is "Big Impact" and will bring together thought leaders to present and discuss the aforementioned topics with attendees and provide tips on how to maximize contact lens care for the biggest impact in their own practices. The Summit will include four sessions, beginning at the top of each hour.  Each is intended to give attendees an overview of the background and science around the topic as well as practical application of that science in daily practice.

The sessions will begin at the top of evey hour from 1pm until 4pm.  David Katz, CEO of Plastic Bank and Melissa Kiewe, CooperVision's VP of Marketing for The Americas, will kick it off at 1pm with a conversation around Plastic Bank®, the global good they do, their partnership with CooperVision and how to be successful with innovative programs like the clariti® 1 day plastic neutrality program in practice. The myopia session will be presented by industry experts Mark Bullimore, MCOptom, PhD, FAAO and Justin Kwan, OD, FAAO who will review myopia control methods, contact lenses in children, and tips for implementing myopia management in practice. Kathy Dumbleton, BSc (Hons), MSc, PhD, MCOptom, FAAO, FBCLA and Melanie Frogozo, OD, FAAO will present on the science and design of multifocal contact lenses and fitting tips for day-to-day practice success with presbyopes. Then Anna Sulley, BSc, MCOptom, FAAO, FBCLA and Roxanne Coan, OD, FAAO, FIAOMC, FSLS will conclude the day with a session on toric lens technology, the latest peer-reviewed research, and how to meet the needs of astigmats in modern practice.

  • 12:30pm: Early log in, familiarization with the event platform
  • 1:00pm: The Sustainability Opportunity, David Katz and Melissa Kiewe
  • 2:00pm: Myopia Management in Practice, Mark Bullimore and Justin Kwan
  • 3:00pm: Multifocal Fitting Success, Kathy Dumbleton and Melanie Frogozo
  • 4:00pm: Toric Lens Technology, Anna Sulley and Roxanne Coan

There will be a 15-minute break at the end of each session, providing attendees the time to browse related resources, meet up in the networking lounge, or simply reset for the next session.
