East/West Eye Conference Attendees Get a Sneak Peek at MyDay® toric

CooperVision hosted a MyDay® toric Experience Zone at the EastWest Eye Conference in Cleveland, Ohio on November 2-4.  The Experience Zone provided optometrists an opportunity to test the fit, vision and handling of MyDay® toric daily disposable contact lenses firsthand.  EastWest attendees were among the first to have an opportunity to work with the lenses.

Cleveland-area optometrists were on hand in the Experience Zone to assist with the fitting and evaluation of the lenses on conference attendees.  Anita Chitluri, OD was among the experience zone fitters.  “Everyone really likes the comfort and vision of the MyDay® toric when they put it on,” said Dr. Chitluri.  “I’ve had a lot of positive feedback.”

Steve Diamanti, PhD, Senior Manager of Technical Marketing, spent some time in the Experience Zone discussing MyDay® toric’s unique design.  “I’m really excited to be here talking about MyDay® toric,” said Diamanti.  “The most exciting story is that we’ve been able to take the the Biofinity® toric lens design and incorporate those features into a 1-day lens.  And of course, you can’t talk about MyDay® without talking about the story behind the material.  The thing that’s special about the MyDay® material is that it’s incredibly soft.”

Mark Andre, FAAO of North America Professional Affairs has had the opportunity to fit some patients in the lens in advance of its national launch.  Mark also spent time in the Experience Zone and weighed in MyDay® toric’s advantages. “Having the Biofinity® toric design in the MyDay® material is just phenomenal.  The low modulus allows us fit a much wider range of corneal curvatures.  So you put the best material* with the best design?  It’s a drop the mic moment.”

MyDay® toric daily disposable contact lenses are slated to launch nationally in early 2018.  Contact your CooperVision sales representative for more information.
