To our valued customers:
2020 has been quite the year. In the beginning, we imagined it would be a time of celebration for optometry—a symbol of the innovation in eye care, and the way you change lives every day. Although this year wasn’t what we expected, when we look back on 2020, we’ll remember more than the unprecedented challenges. We’ll remember your strength and resilience, and the way you evolved to meet the changing needs of your patients under such trying circumstances.
And we hope that you’ll remember how CooperVision has been with you through it all by watching this video.
As your partner, we have listened, and we’ve heard your needs. That’s why we are continuing our support of eye care professionals through initiatives such as:
- Free Direct-to-Patient Shipping Extended into 2021
CooperVision has again extended our free freight offer for direct-to-patient contact lens delivery of any two multipacks or more. Lenses are shipped to patients via FedEx 2-Day Air or USPS on your behalf, coming from the eye care professional they know and trust. We also continue to provide reimbursement for Authorized Distributors to participate in this direct-to-patient delivery program.
- Free Freight on Several Toric Products Extended into 2021
Heavy demand for Biofinity® XR toric and Biofinity® toric multifocal coupled with the installation of new packaging lines caused some delays in product shipping for many of you. As we turn the calendar to January, we are happy to share with you the service levels will return to normal in January, and we will continue with our free freight program for both products.
In addition, as part of our relaunch of MyDay® toric, we are pleased to announce that the limited free freight promotion for MyDay® toric has been extended. The purchase of 1 trial or 1 revenue pack of MyDay® toric, Biofinity® XR toric or Biofinity® toric multifocal qualifies for the Free Freight Promotion through 6/30/2021. Office orders will ship FedEx 2-Day Air, and direct-to-patient orders will ship either FedEx 2-Day Air or DHL (delivered by USPS) depending on weight.
- ECP Viewpoints℠ Peer-to-Peer Virtual Learning Series
Travel restrictions and conference disruptions have impacted opportunities for important peer-to-peer collaboration and education. In November, CooperVision kicked of our new ECP Viewpoints℠ Peer-to-Peer Virtual Learning Series , a collection of educational sessions presented by eye care professionals for eye care professionals. During the webinars, practitioners host discussions about a variety of relevant eye care topics, sharing insights, best practices for success in the current environment, and peer-reviewed and other pertinent research. The series has new sessions scheduled for January and will continue to provide educational opportunities throughout 2021.
- “SiHy 1-Day: The Time is Now” Webinars
The COVID-19 pandemic has accelerated patient demand for health and safety, quality, and convenience in many areas of life, including contact lens wear. This trend presents an opportunity for eye care professionals to make a shift to silicone hydrogel 1-day contact lenses for the benefit of patients—and practices. In a series of webinars, practitioners who have already made this change in their practices share their knowledge and expertise. The on-demand webinars are available here.
- The EASY Way Contact Lens Health & Safety Program
The pandemic has heightened professional and consumer awareness of good contact lens hygiene. To encourage healthy wear and care habits all year long, CooperVision has partnered with the Contact Lens Institute to launch The EASY Way (Eyes, Awareness, Safety and You). The program includes simplified tips, attention-grabbing infographics, and companion digital education resources for practices to use with existing and new wearers alike, all available for free from EASYWayProgram.org.
As we progress through the holiday season and the end of the year draws near, thank you for your trust and partnership. We look forward to a brighter future—together.
Best regards,
Jerry Warner
