CooperVision® has announced its fourth annual search for the nation’s Best Practices. The initiative seeks to recognize and celebrate practices whose visionary, innovative and unexpected approach to eye care delivery lead to exceptional patient care and the advancement of the profession.
In the three years since the launch of Best Practices, 30 eye care practices across the U.S. have been named as honorees—practices small and large, new and established, independent and corporate.
“Best Practices has exceeded every expectation we ever had for the program due to the response from eye care professionals from coast to coast,” said Michele Andrews, OD, Senior Director of Professional and Academic Affairs, North America, CooperVision. “Through our close partnership with this growing group of honorees, we have come to understand differences in approaches to patient care, leadership, practice management, and more—yet there continue to be common ties that bind all of us together. Best Practices is a celebration of what makes practices unique, but also a reminder of what can be accomplished through collaboration. We have shared many stories, but we know there are many more to come. We can’t wait to see what the next honorees bring to the table in 2019.”
Any U.S. optometry practice currently fitting contact lenses is eligible to apply. Best Practices candidates are encouraged to submit practice profiles and stories, sharing their insights and experiences in the areas of innovation, industry leadership and patient experience.
Candidates can submit their stories at eyecarebestpractices.com/applying. Applications will be accepted through November 21, 2018 and will be reviewed by a panel of judges including past Best Practices honorees, industry experts, and CooperVision leaders. The 2019 Best Practices will be announced early next year.
