The Business of Eyecare program will take place from June 8-10, 2025, at the Kellogg Global Hub on Northwestern University’s campus in Evanston, Illinois.

The year one exclusive program fee is $3,995 and includes:

  • All program instruction; program materials, including books, program packets of articles and cases and class handouts.
  • Lodging, food and beverage.
  • Accommodations at the Hilton Orrington Hotel in Evanston, IL, from Saturday, June 7 until Tuesday, June 10, 2025.
  • Transportation between the Kellogg Facilities and Hotel. 
  • Access to the Northwestern University Sport Pavilion Aquatics Center (“SPAC”) located on the Evanston Campus.
Due to the exclusive nature of our executive program, significant preparation is undertaken well in advance. To qualify for a full refund of the tuition fee, participants must provide written notice of cancellation at least 60 days prior to the program's start date to jvanthof@coopervision.com. Cancellations made within 31-60 days prior to the program's start date will be refunded at 50% of the total program fee. Cancellations made within 30 days of the program start date are non-refundable. However, participants may transfer their registration to another eligible individual within their organization.
This is a by invitation only program. We have invited a select group of individuals with diverse skills and experiences who have demonstrated exceptional leadership potential and a commitment to advancing the field of optometry. Our goal is to create a dynamic and collaborative learning environment by bringing together forward-thinking optometrists who are poised to make a significant impact in their practices and the broader eye care community.
We appreciate your interest in The Business of Eyecare program. While this is an invitation-only program, we welcome inquiries from passionate and forward-thinking optometrists. Please note that this program is currently available only to optometrists practicing in the USA.
Yes, the Kellogg School of Management, in partnership with CooperVision®, awards a certificate upon the successful completion of the program.
Kellogg expects that participants will attend all sessions, immerse themselves completely in the experience and free themselves of all other obligations while the program is in session. 
Yes, you will receive access to the The Business of Eyecare course website. Detailed program information, including advance reading assignments, will be posted on the course website by mid-May. It is expected that all participants will complete the advance readings and assignments prior to arriving on campus.
All registered participants will be notified of updates or changes as soon as they are made. In addition, the program’s webpage will also be kept up to date. We will send communications to the email you submitted in your registration form. Please also look for emails directly from Kellogg and our program manager, Jill Fenstermaker.

The program starts on Sunday, June 8 at 8:30 AM and ends on Tuesday, June 10 at 4:30 PM. A full agenda will be shared prior to arrival with exact details. A typical day will have the following format:

Breakfasts and dinners will be served at the Hilton Orrington hotel. Lunches, snacks, and coffee will be provided at the Kellogg Global Hub.
Business casual attire is recommended, and layering is the best idea for the climate and temperature variances in the building.
Your hotel will be reserved as part of your program registration at Hilton Orrington Hotel in Evanston, IL for Saturday, June 7 (check-in day) until Tuesday, June 10 (check-out day), 2025. If you are unable to attend the program, need to cancel, and have alerted jvanthof@coopervision.com of your program cancellation request, then we will handle the cancellation of your hotel. Hotel cancellations must be made at least one week prior to the course check-in date.
Overnight accommodations will be at the Hilton Orrington Hotel and are included as part of the program with check-in after 3pm on Saturday, June 7, and check-out before class begins on your final morning of Tuesday, June 10. If you need to reserve additional nights at the Hilton Orrington before or after the program (June 6 and/or 10th), you can do so at a nightly rate of $210 plus tax. There is not a dedicated shuttle from the airports. There are public transportation (bus and train) options if participants wish to utilize Chicago’s transit system (more information here: https://www.transitchicago.com.) Otherwise, taxis or shared ride services (Lyft, Uber) are recommended options. Transportation between the Kellogg Facilities and Hotel will be included.
Daily shuttle service between the Hilton Orrington Hotel and the Kellogg Global Hub will be provided. The detailed shuttle schedule will be available on Canvas, and you will receive hard copies of the shuttle schedule and walking directions.
The Hilton Orrington offers valet parking for $37 per day. Northwestern University offers complimentary parking in the North Parking Garage on campus.
Participants will have access to NU’s Henry Crown Sports Facility and Norris Aquatics Center. More information about the facilities can be found at: https://nurecreation.com/facilities.
