CooperVision Opens Applications for its 2022 Best Practices Program

To further support the education of future eye care professionals, CooperVision is now accepting applications for its 2022 Best Practices Scholarship Program. Now in its third year, the program is an expansion of the company’s Best Practices initiative, which celebrates the innovative ways that U.S. eye care practices deliver exceptional patient care and advance the profession, bringing them together to share their insights with their peers.

Each year, three scholarship recipients join the prestigious group of Best Practices honorees for the Best Practices Summit, a two-day educational and collaborative event.

“I applied to the Best Practices Scholarship Program because I have always gained so much—both academically and personally—by learning from a group of inspiring mentors,” said Melody Kordnaij, a 2021 Best Practices Student Scholarship recipient. “It is a great privilege to receive advice from some of the industry’s most well-respected leaders. I have no doubt that their insights will be valuable as I progress with my own career.”

Applicants must be third-year optometry students currently in good academic standing at a U.S. optometry school, who demonstrate exceptional leadership and/or participation in school and community activities, honors, and work experience.

Applications will be accepted through Friday, January 7, 2022. Students interested in applying must submit a current resume and one-minute video explaining their aspirations to one day impact the industry, and how attending the Summit will help them to achieve these goals. Scholarship recipients will be announced in Spring 2022.
