Optometry school is an exciting and busy time for students. But why should a student consider getting involved in organizations beyond their didactic learning in the classroom and hands-on experience in the clinic? Let two of CooperVision’s Student Leadership members tell you why.

In this first video, New England College of Optometry student Carrisa Fleming, class of 2025, shares how her involvement in CooperVision’s Student Myopia Leadership Society allowed her the opportunity to gain knowledge and mentorship from leaders in the profession.

In the second video, Pacific University College of Optometry fourth-year student Samuel Yun shares how his participation in CooperVision’s Student Contact Lens Leadership Society helped him gain confidence, and in turn, allowed him to bridge the leadership divide and provide an example to help his community back home realize their full potential.
