To help enhance and support the education of future eye care professionals, CooperVision is now accepting applications for its 2023 Best Practices Student Program. Now in its fourth year, the program is an expansion of the company’s Best Practices initiative, which celebrates the innovative ways that U.S. eye care practices deliver exceptional patient care and advance the profession, bringing them together to share their insights with their peers.
Each year, three third-year optometry students join the prestigious group of Best Practices honorees for the Best Practices Summit, a two-day educational and collaborative event and media roundtable.
“You can ask any question you like. They’ve been really friendly with us,” said Dana Devito, a 2022 Best Practices Student program participant. “They’re encouraging us as individuals to take advantage of all the opportunities we have – and this in itself is a great opportunity.”
Applicants must be third-year optometry students currently in good academic standing at a U.S. optometry school, who demonstrate exceptional leadership and/or participation in school and community activities, honors, and work experience.
Applications for the 2023 Best Practices Student program will be accepted through Tuesday, November 8, 2022. Students interested in applying must submit a current resume and one-minute video explaining their future aspirations to impact the industry, and how attending the Summit will strengthen their ability to achieve these goals.
