In its continued effort to support tomorrow’s leaders in the profession, CooperVision was pleased to be the exclusive sponsor of the AOA’s Contact Lens and Cornea Section’s (CLCS) inaugural Honorable Distinction Program. The program identifies and recognizes optometry school students committed to going above and beyond in their contact lens professional development.
The award is intended to help develop the next generation of leaders in contact lens, advocacy, research, and patient care. The recipients had to participate in specific contact lens lectures and programs, in addition to networking with leaders within the contact lens industry and CLCS sponsors, during Optometry’s Meeting in Nashville.
“Supporting students in reaching their full potential is at the core of CooperVision’s commitment to help educate and advance the next generation of eye care professionals and our future contact lens leaders,” says Dr. Michele Andrews, Vice President, Marketing and Professional Affairs, Americas. “CooperVision was pleased to partner with the AOA’s CLCS to be the exclusive sponsor of this innovative new program for promising optometry school students.”
