Forum to Feature Generational Communications Expert Hannah Ubl as Keynote Speaker

PLEASANTON, CALIF., June 23, 2017 — To support the education of future cornea and contact lens experts, CooperVision, Inc. has provided an educational grant to the American Optometric Association (AOA) for its 5th Annual Cornea and Contact Lens Residency Forum at Optometry’s Meeting 2017 in Washington, D.C.

The theme of this year’s Residency Forum—scheduled for Saturday, June 24—is “Connect. Grow. Engage.” Workshop topics include networking, clinical decision-making, and the value of sharing clinical insights through industry publications. The program aims to help residents learn valuable skills that will propel their careers and result in rewarding professional opportunities, both during their residency programs and in the years to come.

Speakers will include leaders from the Cornea and Contact Lens Section of the AOA, alumni of the Residency Forum, as well as keynote speaker Hannah Ubl. Ms. Ubl is an expert on generational communications and will share her expertise with Forum attendees about how Millennials can break away from traditional generational stereotypes and make an impact, even as young professionals.

“Today’s residents are tomorrow’s eye care professionals, and CooperVision is committed to supporting these up-and-coming cornea and contact lens experts through our sponsorship of the Residency Forum,” said Michele Andrews, OD, Senior Director of Professional and Academic Affairs at CooperVision. “It is always a pleasure to see all of the new faces and revisit with former residents to see the success they have made for themselves. We look forward to helping bring this year’s attendees valuable insight that they can carry with them through their careers.”

Following the Residency Forum, the AOA will host a five-year reunion social for all program alumni to attend.
