SAN RAMON, CALIF., September 8, 2022CooperVision has begun its search for the nation’s 2023 Best Practices honorees and student scholarship recipients. The initiative—now in its eighth year—brings together innovative U.S. eye care practices committed to advancing the profession and providing exceptional patient care, while the student scholarship component enables standout optometry students to learn directly from some of the best in optometry.

“Each year, the honorees and student recipients bring new ideas, perspectives, and areas of expertise to the Best Practices program. The opportunity to collaborate with like-minded, innovative eye care professionals has proven to be an invaluable benefit for the Best Practices honorees and student recipients. The eye care practices being honored in 2023 will join a prestigious group of 70 Best Practices who have been recognized for their excellence in practice management, patient experience, and innovation. Honorees not only gain broad industry recognition but are given exclusive opportunities to collaborate with and learn from other creative and motivated practices, enabling further growth and discovery of new ways to serve patients, the profession, and their communities.

All U.S. independent and corporate optometry practices currently fitting any brand of contact lenses are eligible to apply. Through the application process, Best Practices applicants are encouraged to share their personal insights and experiences in areas such as industry advancement, community impact, patient experience, specialty services, and team building.

Three Best Practices student recipients will have the opportunity to attend the annual Best Practices Summit, a two-day educational event in which they can meet with and collaborate with the prestigious group of Best Practices honorees and a media roundtable. Applicants must be third-year optometry students currently in good academic standing at a U.S. optometry school who demonstrate exceptional leadership and/or participation in school and community activities, honors, and work experience.

All applications can be submitted here through November 8, 2022, and will be reviewed by a panel of judges, including previous Best Practices honorees and industry experts. The 2023 honorees and student recipients will be announced early next year.
