History

Although CooperVision was born in 1980, our history actually goes back much further.

Our parent company, The Cooper Companies, Inc., is a global medical device company publicly traded on the NYSE Euronext (NYSE:COO) whose origins go back to 1985. In 1967, Cooper Tinsley Laboratories changed its name to "Cooper Laboratories, Inc." As the company expanded globally, multiple locations opened around the world.

The result? Many innovations in both the surgical and contact lens fields.
